Milk Fat Globulal Membrane (MFGM) VR illustration

Virtual Reality | 3D modeling | 3D animation
| 360 video

This project sought to create a captivating way to inform viewers of the processes happening within an infant’s gut. The idea of the immersive virtual reality experience was to feel as if you were traveling through and experiencing these processes as they happen inside the body.

Not being medical experts ourselves, we worked with the team at Visfo to develop a storyboard to lay out the vision of the video and how we would depict the different processes. We then procured and created the necessary 3D assets and used 3D modeling software to animate the different sequences. By rendering each frame in 360, we were able to create an immersive experience that can be viewed with VR headset or simply by moving the image in the youtube browser.

The MFGM VR Illustration is an example of how 3D modeling and virtual reality can help illustrate normally invisible processes in an engaging and interactive way.

This video is VR 360. Use your mouse to drag the video around see different angles, or use a headset and watch it entirely in virtual reality.
