On 29 March, Bethany will be speaking as part of a series of panel talks at the Women in Digital Innovation Showcase at the Sheffield United Conference Centre.

Experience Heritage will also be one of a number of Exhibitors to showcase their products and services to attendees.

Panel speaker: Diversity in spinouts, start-ups and early stage funding

On 22 June, 2021 from 2-3pm (GMT) Bethany will be joining a panel led by Browne Jacobson LLP to discuss the barriers faced by women entrepreneurs entering the market and commercialising their intellectual property. Topics to be discussed include:

• the challenges faced by female entrepreneurs in seeking external funding and funding initiatives in place to specifically support women

• why so few women are involved in university spinout companies

• what can be done to improve female involvement in the spinout and investment community.

Speaking for International Women's Day

On Monday 8th March 2021 from 1-2pm, I will be taking part in the “Celebrating the Work of Entrepreneurial Female Leaders: The Future of Our City, Our Region” virtual event as one of five speakers.

We will be discussing our entrepreneurial journeys, reflecting on challenges and looking at opportunities provided through local support.

Other speakers include Professor Kiran Trehan, University of York's Pro-Vice-Chancellor for partnerships and engagement and director of the Centre for Women’s Enterprise, Leadership, Economy & Diversity; Lady Jane Gibson, founding chair of Make It York and a director of the York & North Yorkshire LEP; Ann Gurnell, marketing director of York-based Ideas Group; and Delma Tomlin, director of the National Centre for Early Music.
